The SMART FLUX™ Sensor Type CBW 01 is designed to directly measure the heat flux transmitted through radiation heat transfer surfaces of combustion boilers.

The SMART FLUX™ Sensor is used in combination with the Clyde Bergemann Water Cannon as a part of FACOS™ System to determine the actual cleanliness state of a specific area.

The layout of the SMART FLUX™ Sensors varies from boiler to boiler. They are located according to the typical distributions of fouling rate and fouling characteristics that are seen within specific regions of the furnace.

The individual sensors are configured in such a way that they not only are sensitive to the static and gradual conditions of the heat flux, but the dynamic changes as well.
