Thermal recycling of waste materials causes besides the usual combustion gases aggressive gases, metal vapours and dusts which are largely removed through combustion control and the cleaning devices downstream the boiler.
Part of these substances, however, settles on the heating surfaces of the combustion systems and thus impairs utilisation of the heat and even can lead to clogging of the flue gas path. In addition, cooling and condensing vapours of alkaline salts and metals serve as adhesive in the deposits.
During operation a flexible special hose with a nozzle is introduced into the boiler. This nozzle lance cleans the heating surfaces of the radiation passes in refuse incineration plants with water. Thus, utilisation of the flue gas heat is safeguarded in the related temperature ranges of the boiler.
